Ok, yes – we are in love with our Summer Festivals. It’s a love that demands to be expressed through song – and not just any song either. Summer festivals had us a blast, but summer festivals happen so fast…

So with sincerest apologies to Mr Travolta, Ms Newton John, assembled cast, musicians and writers here it is: Our Summer Lovin’ of Ireland’s summer festivals…

About the author

Raised in the Wicklow countryside, David is country through and through. He loves reading, especially Sebastian Barry and Roddy Doyle, and cooking (burning?) up a storm in the kitchen. You might find him bouncing around a tennis court on weekends before retiring to a quiet pub with friends for a long lazy afternoon. David writes about sport, food and nature and is fascinated by the Titanic. Favourite Walk:The Lambe Hill (for thinking) and Beal Ban beach in Ballyferriter (for romancing).

This post is screaming for a YouTube video.

Tell me about it, Corey! There you go, I’m still in Grease mode…I blame David for the tune that’s whirring around my head ALL day long. They had threatened to record me singing this out when I first read it (had to make sure the words matched the tune), but that would be far too much for EVERYONE to bear! Hope you enjoyed it!

I’m totally singing along, but flub it up when I get to that catchy title known as Street Performance World Championships… I just can’t get all the syllables in.

  4. LisaG says:

Say it really, really quickly and you’ll get there!
